Our Family Medicine Residents work alongside experienced physicians in both inpatient and outpatient medical settings.
Dr. Patrick Jenkins is a native Kentuckian who obtained a B.S. in biology from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and completed his family medicine residency training at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY.
After residency, he joined Lake Cumberland Medical Associates and has been a partner for over 28 years. He maintained a very busy inpatient and outpatient practice until 2014 when he transitioned to totally outpatient medicine. He practices the full scope of family medicine with the exception of OB. His practice interests include ambulatory care, occupational medicine, and sports/musculoskeletal medicine. He has been the team physician for Pulaski Co. High School for over 28 years. He has a strong interest in foreign volunteer medical missions. He is married with 4 adult children and 2 grandchildren.
Dr. Jonathan Ruby is a native of Kentucky who moved to Houston in order to complete his degree at University of Houston – downtown. He is a graduate of the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and completed his family medicine residency training at the McLennan County Family Practice Residency Program in Waco, TX.
After completing residency he founded a medical practice in a rural and under-served Selmer, TN. Dr. Ruby provided vital obstetrical services (including C-sections) and newborn/pediatric services as well as traditional inpatient and outpatient service. After moving to Somerset in 2006 he joined Lake Cumberland Medical Associates practicing both inpatient and outpatient medicine. Dr. Ruby has been serving as Assistant Program Director and Inpatient Coordinator since 2016. He is committed to training family medicine residents to provide the full scope of family practice care.
Edrie Jones has been employed by lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for 30 years. For 22 years she worked at Lake Cumberland Medical Associates as the Billing Office Manager and in 2013 she was recruited to help build the residency programs.
In the past 8 years the programs have achieved many milestones and Edrie has enjoyed watching the program and residents blossom. It is an honor for her to work as the Family Medicine Coordinator at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Edrie has been a lifetime resident of Somerset. She is married to Bobby Jones and they are blessed with two sons and two bonus daughters, Ryan, Rachel, Aron and Kennedy. Edrie is also the proud grandmother of granddaughter, Aria.
