Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is pleased to be a teaching facility. Not only do we partner with Somerset Community College and other colleges in the region for students to complete their clinical hours, we also provide a teaching environment for two Residency Programs - Internal Medicine and Family Medicine.
The Family Medicine Residency Program is an innovative program that incorporates both inpatient and outpatient medicine experiences, as well as many sub-specialty rotations, and incorporates osteopathic manipulative medicine into a dynamic education process. Our program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
